Are you travelling abroad? Do you wish to apply for a tender? Do you want to study abroad? Are you marrying a foreign citizen?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to one of the above questions, then you need a court interpreter.
Court interpreters (or sworn interpreters) are persons appointed by county or commercial courts in Croatia whose task is to translate written or spoken texts at the request of a court, state body, legal entity or citizens. The translations they provide are called certified translations because they put their signature and seal on the translation, thus confirming its faithfulness with regard to the original document. Certified translations are bound with the submitted original document or its copy.
Certified translations are considered official documents in Croatia and abroad. That is the reason why they are usually required for diplomas, passports, driver’s licences, birth certificates, notarized documents, certificates and other personal or legal documents.
